Sunday June 1st was the perfect day for a perfect couple and the perfect wedding.
It was 74 degrees with a breeze on the expansive lawns of Mountain Springs Lodge in Plain, Washington where Sydney & Luke Groen were married by their pastor Andy at the edge of the big pond witnessed by family and friends.
The reveal was flawless, as was Sydney, and the look on Luke's face says it all. Bella and I love this part of a wedding shoot almost more than any other part because it's honest, raw.
Before to the ceremony, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were a blast to shoot and were game for anything creative we threw at them.
I must say that the flower girls melted everyone's hearts as they came down the aisle in their tutu's and spreading rose petals. After the ceremony, everyone took a nature-walk over to the barn for the reception festivities.
The newly-weds arrived at the reception in-style driving a black BMW convertible - what an entrance! Good weather, good food, good music, good memories.
As the sun was setting Bella coralled the beaming couple to nail her trademark "sun kiss" and take advantage of the local fields.
This wedding really reflected the personalities of both Sydney and Luke, as they love the Leavenworth area, love the outdoors, the mountains and most importantly, love each other.
We were so blessed to get to know Sydney and Luke in the months prior to their wedding and finding out what they really wanted in their wedding photography - this connection with our client's is so vital.
With love,
Brook & Bella
